The input text must be in ASCII format.

these two lines strip everything that isn't ASCII.
I simplified the script a little bit and commented to make it simpler.

I got it so that the scroll speed matches the speed of the Text-To-Speech. Here's my demo of it:

And I found an article posted on Reddit that was an interview with Stephen Greenblatt, who I'm not familiar of but I skimmed some of his quotes, and it was very appealing to me.
