Coming Wedesday the 20th: Twentieth Celebration
Anyone have suggestions for special topics or activities this month? If so please list them here.
Here is a possible agenda list for the July 20th:
1. Greetings/check-in
2. Discuss the August 20th Zoom (which is on a Saturday) -- possibillity of having two meetings in order to include European forum members -- we can see what our regular 20th attendees have to say.
3. Brainstorming ideas for a February 20th special event -- most likely this will be an online event -- we might want to continue discussing this topic at the next 20th as well.
4. Epicurus College - Cassius could say a little bit about what his hopes are for this, and how core forum members might contribute toward the project.
5. Open discussion on recent popular threads on the forum or any other fun stuff
Possibly an "in person" discussion of the katastematic/kinetic discussion we've been having on the forum?
That sounds good to me!
Joshua has brought to my attention that July 20 is also the anniversary of the first moon landing. so we need to say something to observe that occasion on the 20th of july too
The moon landing is proof of Epicurean physics, specifically the many worlds theory.
Happy Twentieth - and Don't Forget Our Zoom Gathering Tonight!
Happy Twentieth! Tonight for our Zoom celebration, I will be wearing a chiton in the color of madder root (Rubia tinctorum) and also a boxwood (Buxus sempervirens) wreath.
Happy Twentieth!
Some of this morning's funnies, pertaining to recent threads.
Happy Twentieth to all!
If anyone is monitoring this thread and needs the zoom link for tonight, but does not have it, please post here and we'll send it to you directly.
Hi, I hope it's not too late to join!
That was extremely pleasurable this evening, and I hope I didn't monopolize the conversation.
Thank you all for your insightful comments and thought-provoking conversation!
Ευχαριστω, οι του κηπου φιλοι μου! Thank you, my friends of the Garden!
Yes it was a great evening. For those who didn't get a chance to attend, we're building a good core pattern with usually between five and ten people. I think moving forward with personal interaction like this will really enhance our interaction on the forum and help us all get more out of the study of Epicurus.
