At this early stage in our development one of the best things our friends here can do to help the forum is to start new threads to get discussions going. Even if you don't have answers, disagree with Epicurus on a point, or are just posting questions or unresolved thoughts, activity spurs activity, so as you have time please post! And don't worry if you don't have time for a sustained discussion when you start the topic - this forum software makes topics into what is effectively a database where time is not an issue. Discussions can go on for years as you have time, and what may seem a throwaway short post today could turn into a gem of a discussion tomorrow!
How To Help The Forum - Start New Threads!

I'm posting this question here because I can't figure out how to do it anywhere else on the site.
How do I post to a current forum/thread?
I don't want to create a whole new thread just to ask a question but I see no obvious way to ask a new question (like this) in the General focum.
Thanks

Hi Roger and thanks for joining us.
Do you not see an option to start a new thread in the General Discussion setting? Should be a button at the top right of the forum list? I will check forum settings - let me know if you don't see the option.

Roger I reviewed the forum permissions, and you should have been able to see a Create Thread button once you went to the General Discussion Forum. Can you check there again and let me know? Thanks!

One more comment. You wrote "I don't want to create a whole new thread just to ask a question but I see no obvious way to ask a new question (like this) in the General focum. Thanks"
It's possible you are just seeing the way the forum operates, with everything needing to be under a thread of some kind (or a new thread created) for organizational purposes.
You can also post a general comment on your "wall" which i think is also visible to everyone outside the forum structure.
If you continue to run into issues please post, because questions like this help us set up the forum for better use by everyone.
