Very interesting contrast in songs just posted over the last few minutes.

Both I can see have strong Epicurean overtones, but they focus on different aspects of the experience.

Video A is Kalosyni's post to "Something in the Water"

Video B is Julia's post to "Only One"

I think it would be wrong to pit the songs against each other as if one were "more Epicurean" than the other.

My view is that I would stress that *both* attitudes are an important part of Epicurean philosophy.

if someone reacts strongly *against* one or the other (at least as to the lyrics), they would profit from thinking about whether they appreciate the philosophy as a whole, or just in part.
