I’m new to Epicureanism. A few months ago, I began exploring Greek philosophy to see what insights it offers for understanding the modern world. Along the way, I delved deeper into Epicureanism and its contrasts with Stoicism. The more I learned, the more I realized that many Epicurean ideas resonate with beliefs I’ve developed over the years through my own intellectual explorations.
This curiosity led me to dig deeper, eventually discovering the Lucretius Today podcast, which introduced me to this forum.
While I wouldn’t yet call myself an Epicurean—I still have much to learn about Epicureanism and its philosophical rivals—it’s the school of Hellenistic thought that intrigues me the most.
I look forward to engaging with this community and deepening my understanding.
